2025 Spring Volunteer Program Details
:
Harleysville Baseball is a completely 100% volunteer-run organization. We rely heavily on our entire
baseball community to support all the league’s efforts, and this requires volunteer support from all members of the HBB community.
Our volunteer program changed in 2024 and will continue into 2025. During registration, families had the opportunity to opt out of the volunteer program for a fee of $150. This opt-out is not intended to add expenses to our families, but to build a community supported by everyone as we cheer for our young athletes on the field. This can and will be accomplished by all of us chipping in.
Besides those who have opted out, families who are coaching (head and assistant coaches) will be exempt since they are volunteering their time on the field to make the baseball season fun and successful for the children. Coaches must be a listed coach (head or assistant) for a team with all clearances into the league. Without clearances, you are not permitted on the field. Board members will also be exempt as their time spent volunteering is used to plan league events year-round as well as manage HBB.
Also, families with ONLY a Future All-Stars player will be exempt. If you have an older child besides a Future All-Stars player (T-ball and above), you will need to fulfill the obligation.
Each family who does not fit into an exempt category or decides not to opt-out of the volunteer program will be responsible for two (2) volunteer hours, one of which must be in the snack stand
. If you’d prefer not to sign up for field maintenance, you can elect to do 2 hours in the snack stand to fulfill your volunteer obligation. Volunteers will be asked to sign in/out during their obligations. It will be the volunteer’s responsibility to sign in. If a family does not fulfill their obligation, they will be responsible for a $175 one-time fee at the conclusion of the spring season.
In the event you need to switch your signup, it is your responsibility to update the signup genius at least 1 week in advance of your shift. If you need to make changes after that point, it will be your responsibility to find another volunteer to cover.
Please use the Sign-Up Genius links above to select hours that work for you and your family's schedule.

:
1. Handling Cash/Venmo transactions (must be 17+ or older)
2. Handling food
3. Restocking drinks and food when needed
4. Use of air fryers (must be 18+ or older)
5. Use of grill (Saturdays from 11-2) (must be 18+ or older)
